Hi all, how is possible to kill completely an app? I have closed it but still receiving notifications so this tells me that it is still running.

More to the point, notifications don't mean that the app is running.
Notifications are sent from external servers on behalf of apps or other services.

As stated above... notifications will be received no matter the state of the app. If it’s installed and permissions are granted to allow notifications, the phone will receive notifications. If you want notifications to stop, check settings for that app or uninstall the app.
