A religiously oppressed state
If I install the Installer app on the iPhone and various other 3rd party apps on the iPhone I know that I will not be able to use the updates that come from iTunes unless I restore the iPhone every time, something I REALLY don't want to have to do. So is there any kind of update system that is going to be in place (or is in place) for the iPhone OS that is hacked? Or are we all going to have to restore the phone ever time Apple fixes things?

--Thanks

Not much you can do for software updates unfortunately. That said, it won't be an issue for itunes updates as if there is a problem you can always not sync until installer.app pushes a fresh update to your phone.
