Has anyone asked AT&T if you will be able to use your iPhone data plan (with tethering) to tether it to your WiFi iPad?

ipad doesn't support the software to be tethered by anything. only if it can be a wifi hotspot (because thats like wifi). apple calls that shot, and i guess they would have to talk to att anyway:p

Given the limits on AT&T's new data plans it would not surprise me if OS 4.0 for iPad includes the option to tether to an iPhone.

I'm sure if they do allow it they'll find some way to make sure you're on a capped plan and not a grandfathered in unlimited one though ...
