My iPhone 5S on 7.1.1 becomes very unresponsive when I plug it into my MacBook Pro retina on Mavericks. I have to click on a folder 7 or 8 times before it opens, likewise with apps. The second I unplug it, it's fine. It also works fine when plugged into a charger. I tested it with my daughter's iPhone 5 on 7.1.1 and her phone exhibits the same behavior. This happens whether iTunes is running on the computer or not.
