iPhone X Iphone X screen - odd replacement

I'm struggling with this iphone x screen replacement. I have replaced the screen successfully and it's working however the are metal sections running around the outside of the new screen which stop me from closing the iPhone screen back onto the main unit. This is the second screen repair the device has had. I know that this is likely to be something straightforward so I appreciate your help with this. I'm a complete novice to this....
