Can someone compare the screen width (not including the bezel) of the iphone x against the iphone 7/8 plus?

Which one is larger? Are they about equal? Can you measure them and tell me the results?

Thanks.

iPhone 8+
1920-by-1080-pixel resolution at 401 ppi
screen width = 1080/401 = 2.69 inches

iPhone x
2436-by-1125-pixel resolution at 458 ppi
screen width = 1125/458 = 2.45 inches

The 8plus screen is wider by essentially 1/4 of an inch.

Excellent question. Everyone is so concerned with the diagonal measurement. The actual display width is by far the more important one to me. I've done the same comparison between the iPhone 8plus, 12 and 12 PM.

Yes, comparing my 12 mini and 8+, side by side, the 8+ has a significantly larger screen even though on paper its supposed to be only 0.1” larger on the diagonal.

I found a nice comparison video between the iPhone XR and the SE 2. Although the video is in german, it get's the job done

Even though the XR isn't a significantly larger device, the amount of information visible on screen is astonishing.
