Best case for the xr with a nice balance between solid protection and not being too bulky? Any thoughts? I’m currently trialling the following two and, whilst I prefer the mous one, I am attracted to the clear one as it doesn’t completely cover the rest of the phone. I’d also prefer a case with cut outs for the buttons rather than additional ones built in.

Personally, I stay away from clear cases as they end up turning yellow after a few weeks no matter how much you spend on them. Nasty.

They sure do look sharp when they're brand new though.

Yeah, I do have reservations about the clear one. Looks decent and is half the price of the Mous but, as you say, they start to turn grim pretty quickly so will end up spending far more in the long run if persisting with the clear option.

I’ve gone with the clear one. I was hoping Sahara case would release a clear case. I had their clear case for my iPhone 8 and it showed absolutely no yellowing after a year.

Which clear one did you go for?

Does it look classy enough? I tried an Incipio one yesterday but returned it as it looked a bit cheap.

Not to sound rude but it's a piece of clear plastic, is it possible for that to look classy?

If you didn't like the incipio you won't like the spigen, looks wise they're basically identical.

It looks cheap, because it's cheap.

That's a fair point. I am just overthinking it as I want to get the right one for me.

I'll steer clear of clear!

I also got the spigen glitter case, which isn't a finger print magnet so for me is preferable.

You could try one that is shaded to match the phone colour as they IMHO look better.

Every clear case I’ve touched has scratched up insanely in a day. I was at Apple store and Otterbox one they sell, she literally put it on my phone set my phone down and it was scratched. I’d pay top dollar for good clear case doesn’t yellow or scratch.

Caudabe Sheath.

It is significantly thinner than the Spigen Air yet is a made of a higher quality, heavy duty material that Caudabe says will protect the phone against drops up to 6’. Plus, the case has an awesome grip with a subtle sandpaper-like finish similar to the OnePlus sandstone cases.
