So, I have this iphone with iOS 15.5
I cut and ripped the earpiece and lost it somewhere.
With that said lost the face Id.
My question here is this.
The phone says
A problem was detected with the TrueDepth camera so the face id is disabled.
That means that I destroyed the dot projector too?
The cameras and dot projector seem ok and no signs of breaks or cracks.
My thoughts are that maybe because it doesn't find the illuminator it says truedepth camera.
I just bought a programmer and a new earpiece it would be sad if this dot projector is dead .
I will test it though but not until December. So I think it worth the talk
