I thought it was on par with my 8 plus. A dedicated dark mode would really help.
You seem to have really, really bad luck with Apple products.
The battery on my Max seems to be doing just fine, even though I'm using it more than normal since it's still new.

My MAX battery seems to be very close to my X, maybe slightly better considering I am still playing.
Horrible on my Max. Did a clean install when I received it. Even so, less than an hour of safari usage took about 1/3 of my battery.
Did a dfu restore yesterday and now hoping that fixed it.

Much worse than the two Pluses I've owned. I'd say it's comparable to the phone it replaced, the Samsung S8 plus.
Something is terribly wrong if you lost 33% in 60 minutes doing anything on your phone, much less safari.
Better on my XSM than my X. Not had a chance to test in great detail but remember, battery life will also improve once the batteries have had a good week or use and settled.
Absolutely. I think it was the OS, not an app, that somehow got messed up.
Seems like iOS is going the Windows way, where you sometimes have to install twice, because something went wrong during the first setup.
Looks more stable on the new setup, although not as good as the 7+ I had before the X. Maybe in a later iOS version...

There must be people on this forum who spend so much time here that they read every post from every person. That's kinda sad.
I must be lucky because I haven’t had any of the issues people have been going on about on here. Battery on my Max is comfortably as good as my 8+ was, as far as I can tell.
Not as sad as throwing out sexual innuendo on tech forums, imo, but you do you.
According to Tom‘s Guide both the XS and XS Max have worse battery life than the X.

Which I will say is BS or testing flaw; after all, how is a test a year ago a relevant comparison and why was it not retested this year?
The X was 10hrs 49 min and the 8 Plus is a few min more at 11hrs 16 min? Real world observations (and my own X) over the past year say otherwise that they are not near that close and the Plus blew away the X battery life real world.
Every other battery test out there so far shows the Max right near Note 9 battery life and both XS devices crushing the X by a large margin.
