Hi there,

I bought a used Ipod video 30GB that's in really great condition, except that I'm having issues playing music. No matter what I do it will show the "playing" icon but the time stays at 0:00 and there's no music. It's running Ipod OS 1.3

I have checked the following:
  1. Restored the Ipod as MacPod and WinPod then installed music, neither works
  2. Used Rythmbox on Ubuntu to play music throught the iPod (mounted as USB HD and played music off it). This works so HD isn't completely borked
  3. Ran the Diagnostic utility. HD seems "okay". Headphone Jack detects headphones. PLay/Pause button is itermittent but working
  4. Installed RockBox. Still stuck at 0:00
I'm at a loss for what to do next. It seems like it's hardware related but I'm not sure if it's the headphone module, Logic Board, or HD that needs replacing.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
