Hi, I'm new to iPod Classic collecting. Prior to the purchase of a 4gen, can someone please advise me if with a dead battery, when connected to a charger, should there be some indication on screen to indicate a non charging battery?
Or when connected to a charger, does no indication suggest that the lcd screen or hard drive may be defective?
I've asked the seller to show me that the iPod is serviceable with some screen image, but he replies "not possible, the battery is dead".
I'm currently rerfurbishing a 6th gen so don't mind tearing the 4gen apart for battery change etc.
