How does one fast forward and see where in an MP3 one currently is? Basically the functionality that was one center button push away on ipods, where you could see how far into the song you were, and could use the scroll wheel to fast forward or reverse?

I know you can fast forward by holding down the forward button on the display, but you can't see how far into the song you are.

You are able to do this with the iPhone by viewing a song when it's playing, and selecting right below the black bar (where the left arrow to go back to the song list is, the title and artist of the song, and the list view button on the right) to bring up several different options, including selecting where exactly you want to fast forward/rewind in the song, just like on the iPods. To exit this mode, just click anywhere outside of that area.

Ah! Thanks a million! I knew they couldn't have just removed this functionality.
