iPod ipod photo questions

I hooked my ipod photo to my tv today for the 1st time and was somewhat pleased but not entirely. I was under the impression that the album cover, song info, and slideshows could be on the tv screen at the same time. Is this not possible? If not, I think apple should seriously consider making it an option. Having the album cover and song info in the bottom lefthand corner during slideshows would be fantastic. Also, is there any way to have the music in shuffle mode while watching a slideshow on tv?

I don't know that you can have the album art, song, etc. show up on the TV screen while viewing pics. The TV basically mirrors what the iPod photo has on its screen. As far as shuffling, you just set you iPod to shuffle songs and select a playlist.
