With my 4th gen iPod Touch, I've ran into a interesting problem that's happened a few times upon powering down (it happens sporadically whenever I initiate the shutdown procedure).

After I slide to unlock, as its shutting down, it keeps showing the spinning circle for around 2 minutes. Then the device re-springs [without power button input to turn it on], restarting itself and displayed a white screen for around 30 seconds. Eventually the white screen disappears and then it goes back into the normal turn on procedure of showing the Apple logo and then the screen brightness changing right before it fully boots up to the lock-screen.

Has anyone else experienced this weird glitch with their iPod Touch? Is it interesting that this weird glitch does not occur on every single shutdown? What part could be causing this glitch to occur?

Thank you for your help :)
