ipod touch accessories questions

I know it really really really early for me to be asking this, I just want to know if the apple FM radio remote would work on the ipod touch? I've been looking into this and the fact that the iphone is not compatibility with it, should I assume that it won't work on the ipod touch? and also one last question if there any iphone owners here reading this can they give me some advice on a case to buy for the ipod touch as it is more or less the same product, sorry to ask that as I live in the UK and we haven't got the iphone yet

well abit of news update, on the uk store it shows that the ipod touch is compatible but thew usa store doesn't say that
