iPod touch ipod touch strange behaviour

Just bought a new Ipod Touch, but somethings weird happens with it. When for instance it's in my pocket of my jacket it goes to the next song due to it's movement in my pocket. Or sometimes it just pauses when i hold it in my hand. I've tried different settings but nothing helps. Hopefully someone has a solution, because in this condition it's competely useless for me.

Isn't there a shake to shuffle setting on the iPods? My brother had a similar issue several years back. It's been a few years, so that might not be an issue any longer, but I'd double check if that is turned on
