ipodder/ python can't delete podder python running

I installed the program ipodder [ ipooder.org ] and deleted it, now I am unable to remove it from the trash. The message I get it is "this operation could not be completed because the item python is in use" any ideas? What the heck is python anyway, do I need it? Thanks!

it means it the program is still running, and probably starts when you boot. so remove the item from the start list and you should be fine.

Have you actually rebooted your machine then tried to delete it?
