I'm really interested in the new Swift language and would like to learn as soon as I can and start creating stuff. My background revolves some Java as a CS student. Getting into C next semester. Will the membership be worth it for me?

Can you elaborate how I will benefit from it and if anyone knows how I can grasp Apple's new language? I have never developed anything on an Apple platform before but I know a head start in Swift is a valuable assist to me.
