is there a chance that apple will skip the 13 mini?
they say how the 12 mini flopped so why would they make a 13 mini?

what makes sense to me is that they will ditch it and the lineup will be:

se 400
11 500
12 mini 600
13 700
pro/max whatever

cheaper 12 mini makes more sense than a new expansive 13 mini that wouldn't sell

what if they kept the 12 regular 64GB at $650, 12 regular 128GB at $700, and the 13 starts at 128GB at $800

I think it has something to do with the fact that by the time they 'learnt' that sales didn't hit their expectations, it was already too late in the product development cycle to ditch the 13 Mini... So they'll continue with it this year.

The 12 mini came out far too late… people are impatient or simply didn’t know it was coming out (who don’t watch the keynote or follow tech news).

If it was an option to many at the same time they bought the regular 12 or a Pro model then I’d guess a fair number would have opted for the mini.

I’m still not believing the reports that this is the last year for the mini, let’s see how it compares this year. But even low percentage of sales equates to millions of devices sold.

iPhone 13 mini is definitely happening. Only from 2022 series of iPhones, the mini will be dropped.

I wish a Mini Pro would be a thing, but I think the more likely route is the Mini becomes the SE in the future.

Who says the 12 Mini has flopped? Sure, it may not have sold as much as the 12 and the 12 Pro but I hardly think the 12 Mini is a flop. Some of us don't need/want large phones and the 12 Mini is a perfect compromise.
Not me, just picked mine up last week, from a 12 pro. Perfect size. And purple so.....

That would be wonderful. I still don't get the appeal of having a giant phone.
Ditto. The mini is a good size: considering that some folk still hanker after the iPhone 5-sized footprint, there's already a compromise with the mini by dint of the fact that it pretty much has the iPhone 8 etc-sized footprint. With the luxury of more screen, obviously.

But bigger still?

And then even bigger still?

Not for me.
