iPhone 14 Pro Is there any way to disconnect the black area between the face id sensor and the front-facing camera on the dynamic island?

Am I the only one finding the punch-hole display fascinating? I don't know why Apple doesn't give users the freedom to choose whether they have a 'pill' or 'mark' notch. I kind of like the disconnected style to remind me of the technology behind the OLED screen, which IOS 16 has those 'islands' when multiple apps run in the background (as shown in the figure). I wonder if any developer is working on allowing the black area between the face-id sensor and the front-facing camera to display when no App is using the dynamic island.
