I am trying to edit a big document on WORD - in fact it's an entire book. (about 120K words)
it is painfully slow.
(I don't know why most book publishers insist on using Word, it must be better on Windows, but the Mac version is incredibly slow and buggy...)
does anybody have any suggestions for speeding it up? I could try breaking it down into smaller documents, but other things might get screwed up ... footnotes or something? I may do that if I can't think of anything else.
