Hey all
About 6 month ago my 1TB SSD in a 2015 retina MBP packed up, or at least so I thought. I am now on SSD 5 and none worked I also bought a second adaptor as I thought maybe the adaptor is faulty. Telling a friend, he thought that maybe the SSD I can buy now are newer versions of the original and I need a different type of adaptor.

What I do is I first put the SSD with adaptor in an external drive housing, I got many years with my first aura drive from OWC , and see if the machine is picking it up from there.
The external housing seems ok, as if I am putting the original 128gb drive in it(without adaptor) it is working fine.
I have now a samsung NVMe M.2 SSD 980, which should work https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/upgrading-2013-2014-macbook-pro-ssd-to-m-2-nvme.2034976/

I am still running 10.14.6 however even on the latest M1 machine the drive was not detected

ANY suggestions PLEEEASE!!!!
