When you are installing a game or something from a disk, is it normal for the iMac's Superdrive to make noises?
Also, what should the gfx card be set to? Direct 3D or OpenGL? I think BF2 and COD2 are OpenGl but I'm not sure. Does this matter? Thanks

If it's spinning super fast it often times will. Mine normally makes noise when burning CD's at max speed but not when I burn it at a lower speed.

Ok good cause when it is starting it makes noises but once its running its fine. And what about my other question. The OpenGL or Direct 3d thing? What should that be set to?

I think it's normal unless it's a REALLY strange noise. I've never been on a computer in which I put a disk in and it dosn't make noises while spinning.
