Is this safe? [BlackBook]

So I have a previous generation BlackBook and a Windows PC - the latter of which is far superior in almost every regard. But the OS on the Mac, as well as it's optical out make it the computer I prefer to use.

Every day, it's set up as follows:

Placed flat on desk, plugged into power, keyboard, mouse, audio cable, and mini-DVI to VGA adapter, used in clamshell mode. Inside the mac is an iSkin keyboard protector. The computer will remain on for the entirety of the day and usually the night as well.

The computer does not feel hot, but warm, like if I was using it regularly.

Mostly just Firefox, iTunes, Word, iPhoto, GarageBand.

Is this a safe setup in the Mac's longevity sense?

I haven't shut down my Macbook in 44 days. I don't think this is a problem. Computers are designed to be run for tens of thousands of hours.

with "heatmiser" since I've left my computer on for at least 20 days, without a problem. I've even put it to sleep mode and woke up several times during the 20 day period.

My Black MacBook is on probably 18 hours per day on average, no problem. To preserve your battery life, follow Apple's recommendations and drain and recharge your battery at least once per month.
