Basically i bought my iPhone yesterday morning from o2

systems were down so everything was done manually (my contract still hasn't been put through)

i took home a sealed box, turned it on, plug into itunes and it said it could not be activated - and itunes then crashed (7.7 on a mac is so unstable)

ii disconnected it and then it said slide to unlock and everything works fine - well im an upgrading customer so it is just reading my sim as normal - no VV but everything else works

then i though lets try my vodaphone sim - works fine, went out for dinner last night with friends - tried orange and t-mobile - all work fine

so i've come to the conclusion - either iPhones are unlocked when they come out of the store and then are locked when you activate, or iTunes screwed up and it is now unlocked

anyone else's iPhone unlocked? (without using pwnage etc)

anyone have any questions? anyway i can give you a file on my iPhone which will allow you guys to bypass activation and unlock..?
