I've been trying to restore my iPad 2 (wifi) MODEL NUMBER: MC769LL/A, to 8.4 so I can reJB at a later date (its currently JB on 8.1 or something). I already JBed my 6+, but when I use the "shift" method when hitting restore in iTunes and select the ispw I DLed I get:

"The iPad could not be updated because the firmware file is not compatible."

I tried downloading the ispw from the Redmond Pie site as well as ispw.me--can anyone offer any advice? Am I saving the ispw in the wrong place? I can't figure it out.

I'm desperate to get this upgraded before the window closes. I know someone on another site mentioned that they had their happen but we're able to make it work by DLing an ispw from a different source, but I'm not aware of any other than those I listed above.

I'd be grateful for any help or suggestions!

Thanks!

I'm doing this on a PC by the way, if that makes a difference...
