Three questions:

1 can I ever use my itouch as a phone without being a tech genius and if so how? Otherwise I'll need to get another cell phone.
2- connecting to a older car car radio (1992 Accord) just sucks. Wireless FM (even in the lower band 87) cuts out and is unreliable. Can I us it's bluetooth capability?
3-Does jailbreaking eliminate my ability to use the itouch within the apple environment, or can I still plug it into my desktop and use itunes. advantages and disadvantages of JB please.

BTW my itouch is pretty old (3+years) and it may just be the machine just doesn't have the horses to get what I want.

No reflection on Apple, it runs just fine.

thanks

1) You need an iPod Touch Peel. http://www.cpeel.net/16-c-apple-peel-t288-for-ipod-touch-4g.html

2) Yes. Pair the Touch with the radio and then in the Music app just press the AirPlay Button and tell it to send the audio to the Bluetooth device.

3) You can still sync with iTunes. Jailbreaking lets you install system tweaks to improve speed and capabilities of iOS. You need to jailbreak anyway if you're going to use the Peel I mentioned for the touch to work as a phone. It's nearly impossible to brick the device while jailbreaking and it can be undone by simply restoring with iTunes.
