iTunes/Music App Deleting Songs from External Drive (Not going to Trash)

My Music Library is stored on an external hard drive connected to my Mac via USB.

When I delete a song through the Music app, the app is deleted from the hard drive without going to the Trash however, If I go to the song through Finder and delete the same file, it goes to the Trash.

Any idea why the Music app is deleting the file off the external drive?
