So I've got the innards of a MBA 2017, that is logic board and the I/O board, fully corroded with apple juice, because Germany 
, and a bit roughly removed. The LCD connector had the typical burn around the LCD backlight pins.
Me, an almost 60yro, no special tools and skills, managed to solder the connector nicely on the third try (first two failed miserably ), without special tools and most important, no microscope.
