iWork active window delay

Ever since the last iWork update there is a very noticeable delay when making an iWork app’s window active - be it split screen or overlapping Windows. I’m Cmd-Tabbing all the time and it’s driving me nuts.

I’m on Catalina. Has anyone else noticed this on Catalina or Big Sur?
