Just hacked my touch on a iMac intel. 1st time it failed.

This is what worked for me. Hope it helps others that are leary of doing so.

1) D/L iJailbreak version .3
2) placed iJailbreak in Application folder
3) "before I connected my touch to my mac", I executed iJailbreak on my iMAC. Followed instructions and went to exploit address on safari on my itouch.
4) Connected iTouch to my iMac, waited till itunes completely started and then I shut Itunes down, leaving the iTouch still connected to my iMac
5) Followed instructions from iJailbreak.
6) appoximately 10 minutes later after following all iJailbreak on iMac screen instructions, my itouch was jailbreaked and iPhone apps installed.
7) after playing around a bit and checking out the new additions to my itouch, I reconnected to iTunes and verified all works perfectly.
Thank You Arix, well done!

Hope this helps out some that are considering this hack using iJailbreak .3. It really is automated.

1st time around I made the mistake of having my itouch connected when I entered the web address tiff exploit in safari on my itouch. After 30 minutes I knew it didn't work. I just started all over, but this time I entered the expolit addy into safari on my itouch and then I connected as stated in the above steps that worked for me.

I wrote this hoping to help some as I found instructions and guides scattered with info and I even found an exploit to the exploit where others are charging $$$ for this info. I'd rather keep it free!
Again well done Arix!!!!

I left mine connected to my computer while I was accessing the exploit and it worked (took about 7 minutes). One problem I had was when I entered the URL as "http://jailbreak.toc2rta.com/" (with the "/" on the end) it didn't get Safari to crash, but when I entered it as "http://jailbreak.toc2rta.com" it worked fine.

Mine was connected to the computer as well and worked just fine. I even left the backslash at the end. Go figure.

And to further convolute the situation: when I did mine, at first I had the Touch connected to my MacBook, but iTunes closed and the jailbreak didn't work. Then the second attempt (after a restore) I had iTunes open the whole time and it worked.

Weird.
