i think you have to hold option+eject to eject the secondary drive

Use tinkertool (free) to alter the hotkeys on them.

Your eject key ejects the master drive on the IDE bus.

I don't have an eject button so I rigged it to Cmd+F11 and Cmd+F12 for my two drives.

The default key combo is :apple: + EJECT to open the second drive.

also with two drives installed you get a cool little eject button icon on the menu bar right next to you clock.....:D
