iPad Keyboard question in Safari

I was at the Apple store tonight playing around with the Air 2. In Safari, when letters are pressed on the default on-screen keyboard, they would visually depress like normal. However, on my Air 1, they do not. What's the deal? It seems like a little thing but I find it odd and kind of annoying. I want the visual cue back.
