Just wondering if anyone has come out with a kid-friendly pencil option, for individual purchase, that is compatible with the 2018 iPads.

The Logitech Crayon is now available for anyone to purchase. Well, at least in the UK. No need to be in education anymore. Just look in the Apple Store app under “Creativity”

If you have an Apple store you can let your kid try it out. The other one sells for $85 with student discount.

Work issued me a new 2018 ipad this school year, so I went out and bought the logitech crayon. Feels very robust, and my pencil can now stay at home safely with my personal 2018 ipad. For what I use it for (note taking, annotation and drawing in Office apps) I notice zero difference in functionality.

I was hoping to try one in store, but my Apple store doesn’t have one to test. I think my grandson will love it though, so I’m pretty sure I’m gonna pick one up.

Sweet. Ask them for the student discount since you are picking it up for your grandson. I wonder if you should get a screen protector too so that it doesn't scratch the screen. I know kids like to eat while playing. Just incase debris gets under the pencil, it might scratch it.

Good idea on the student discount.

All the grandkids have screen protectors and rubber cases! I learned after a couple cracked screens!!
