Lacie D2 DVD burner noise ??

Hi

I've just bought a Lacie D2 DVD DL external dvd burner.

The fan seems really noisey when reading/writing cd and dvds. Its much louder than my imac g4 when burning

I wondered if anyone thought their's was noisey aswell.
