Last two Beta installs were odd

The last two:
Download from App Store 3GB
Restart
Three tries at firmware updates with long beeps (restarts etc)
Then boots into the prior beta without updating
Download again from App Store. Now 2.5GB
A few more firmware boots and beeps
Then it installs

Anyone else getting this?

sounds like time to run disk first aid, and the hardware test... (backup first!)

Yeah, it’s strange, especially the different file sizes of the first and second App Store downloads of the same beta. I should probably report it.

Am I correct that when an update shows a lower resolution Apple screen with the progress slider it’s updating the firmware? Feels like it’s flashing the BIOS (former windows guy).
