Not sure I like the looks of that. Other than the difficulty regarding the power and volume buttons, I quite liked the rubberized back of the current Kindle Fire HD as it made it less necessary to get a case or other protection and it made it easier to hold as well. I have one of the 7-inch versions.

Garbage tablets thanks to Amazon's insane desire to neuter and plaster their tablets with their version of Android. I purchased both the 1st gen Fire and their HD version. The 7" HD auto bright still doesn't work because Amazon says they DON'T support it but it works fine on the 8.9 tablet running the same OS.

My next Kindle purchase will be when my current HD stops working. If you need an Android tablet look elsewhere.
