There are numerous posts about people wanting to revert back to the "legacy" way of labelling a file or folder in OSX (replacing the colour-dot "tag" in 10.9 and probably also later OSX versions, with the entire file/folder name coloured which makes it a lot easier to see IMHO).

XtraFinder
has been mentioned, which does this (and more). It's also free, so I really shouldn't complain but I find it annoying that it needs updating quite frequently when the message "Beta version has expired" (or something like that). Other apps suggested cost a fair bit or have been complete Finder replacements. I just need to get the old colour labels back (I don't need the other XtraFinder features either) -are there other solutions to this?
