So I've been fighting this issue off and on for months, and now I'm not able to fix it...

Devices: Lexmark XM3150 multifunction office machine. 2011 Mac mini running High Sierra. All in a small medical office.

When they attempt to scan from the Lexmark with Image Capture on this one specific Mac mini, we get an error that "software for this device is not installed -9945." In the past, deleting the /Library/Image Capture directory, resetting the printing system, rebooting, and reinstalling the device would fix it. But today? I've done that multiple times and still can't scan.

Anybody have any ideas here? We'll be replacing it with an M1 real soon, but that doesn't solve their need to scan today.

If anyone cared: I forgot to have them reboot the printer too.

I swear, every month this stops working. Have to reset printing system, delete /Library/Image Capture, reboot Mac, reboot printer, reinstall everything. Dumb. And it's only this one!

But I ordered our new M1s, so hopefully this is over now. :)
