All iPads Lighting to SD and lightning to USB any difference?

Wanting to import direct to my iPad. Just wondering if the Lightning to USB and the lightning to SD are any different in speed, usability, functionality etc?

I have the lightning to USB but wonder if the SD one may be better? Or are they identical in use?
