My KEF LS50W speakers (powered, and with built-in DAC) have a USB Type B "computer" input, but I'm having trouble locating a lightning-to-USB-B cable for connecting audio from my Ipad Mini 4 (or Iphone ES) to the speakers. Am I looking for the wrong thing by Googling "lightning to USB B" (or vice-versa)? Thanks!

To use the optical input on your speakers with your iPad Mini 4, you'll need one or two go-between devices.

Method #1 requires an Airport Express.

• Connect iPad Mini 4 to an Airport Express via AirPlay.
• Connect an optical audio cable between Airport Express and the KEF LS50W speakers

Method #2 requires a Lightning to USB Camera Adaptor as well as a USB Audio Interface with Digital Output.

• Connect iPad Mini 4 to the Lightning to USB Camera Adaptor.
• Connect a USB cable between the Lightning to USB Camera Adaptor and a USB Audio Interface with Digital Output.
• Connect optical audio cable between the USB Audio Interface with Digital Output and the KEF LS50W speakers.
