I have a MacBook Pro 2017 15”. A bit of the HDR can be viewed on the screen in Lightroom Classic, and when connected to my LG OLED 4K HDR tv as a external monitor through a usb-c to hdmi 2.0 cable, I can view a higher range in my LG oled hdr tv.

I also have a M2 iPad Pro 11”. I’m able to see some hdr stops on it (maybe not as much as the 12.9, but can do…) in Lightroom, but if I connect to the same tv with the same cable, even though the iPad is sending a HDR signal (and the tv detects it and apply the hdr profile), Lightroom is not displaying The proper HDR stops and shows a message indicating that there’s a problem with the status of the device and the HDR stops can’t be seen.

Anyone else with this issue? What could be the reason?

The cable supports it.
It sends hdr signal to the tv, and so does the laptop with the same cable.
The problem is Lightroom app in the iPad.

Lightroom classic in the MacBook can be viewed in hdr in the TV.
