Logging into iTunes

I am using iTunes Ver: 12.8.2.3 and OS X EI Capitan Ver: 10.11.6 for some reason today when I attempt to log into iTunes to see my balance on the account ( I have a subscription to Netflix and just load cards when needed) I see a greyed out box and am not able to login. Any tips for this or is my current Mac just too old :)
