So today I walked on my 2011 iMac having a blue screen, like on that laptop, after reset I got a that screen with yellow stripes. Google it a bit, but couldn't find anything useful, at least other guys with similar issue got apple logo, I don't even have that. Can't boot into hardware test either - mac does't seem to react to anything, just boots into white screen then turns screen off while still running. Any ideas? What are potential repair costs?

[doublepost=1526012421][/doublepost]That certainly looks like a failed GPU. Considering the age of the computer getting parts maybe difficult, which GPU does the computer have? If it's the AMD Radeon HD 6970M, forget it, the computer is done.
It's the 6750M.
What are the chances of it still working as a monitor? I saw some guy successfully use 2010 (so a bit older) as monitor for windows PC via miniDP.

Niiice. Any suggestions on what to do with what's left? There's not much to sell from it besides HDD and SO-DIMMs afaik.
Most certainly the GPU. Replacement ones can be obtained shop around for the best price. You can carry out the repair yourself using the excellent iFixit tutorial. To the best of my knowledge a GPU replacement is only possible on the 21.5" 2011 iMac although I may be wrong

Hi - The bare MXM GPU-module can be taken/sent away for repair to a "BGA reballing" specialist - this is the cheapest reliable repair. The best-quality reballing repair will use a new 6750M.
Else an Apple parts specialist may offer a new part - this'll be the most expensive option.
. . . . or an exchange for of your GPU card for a reballed module; this'll be more expensive than sending to a repair specialist [example is a 6970M].
Both above options involve an exchange.
Third-best is a s/h "recycled" GPU module. Trouble with these is you cannot be assured of their longevity.
