Looking for a cheap webcam

I'm in a long-distance relationship, and I'd like to get a pair of webcams so my boyfriend and I can stay visually connected. The problem is that I am a broke college student and there is no way I could afford even one iSight, let alone two. I'm trying to find a decent webcam for under $40 each (preferably well under.) We both have iBook G4s, so Mac/PC compatibility is not a problem, and neither of us is particularly attached to any messaging system. Also, our phones have the same area code, so although audio messaging capabilities would be nice, they're not required (is that even part of the webcam hardware?) I'm thinking about getting the Macally cheapo cams, simply because they're the only ones I've found that explicitly say they're Mac-compatible. Am I missing a better option, though?
