Looking for a system to book rooms

I'm a member of a non profit gaming club. With gaming I mean RPG, Boardgames, Tabletop and occasionaly Computer gaming.

We have 4 rooms that people can book for personal use. For example this saturday we have two roleplaying parties booked for two different rooms.
The bookings are today made on a thread at the club online forum. This is not a good system.

We are now looking for a simple system that can help us with this. Since we are non profit it has to be for free, or very cheap.

I looked at Google Calendar a couple of years ago, but it was too advanced, and lacked a simple view.


Anyone that has an idea about this?

To avoid using some third-party online service that requires everyone to have an account and to have it work cross-platform I'm thinking you'd have to have a minimal Wordpress site with something like the Book a Room Event Calendar plugin...perhaps hosted at a subdomain where your online forum is hosted?

The current website is built with Wordpress, I'd prefer no account requirements, and we have control of the domain.
Will definitely check this out.
