Looking for advice: Best Gaming monitor for £400 or under

Looking for advice for my son's belated pressie.

He's decided he wants a 28" gaming monitor, 4K, UHD type thing, but I have no idea what is good or not.

Will be mainly for PC gaming, but guess he will plug in XBOX / PS4 type gaming console possibly. Budget unto £400, but preferably a touch under. Sound isn't important, as he'll use speakers.

Any ideas? I'm completely lost these days.
