Actually, I didn't have any intention to buy any doc for iPad Mini. But since I have Elevation Dock for my iPhone 4 with iPhone 5 conversion on the way. It will be nice if I have Aluminum Dock to use with my iPad Mini.

Also, I use iPad Mini on my bed to surf the net below falling asleep. Most of the time, I slip my iPad Mini in the drawer of my nightstand. However, it will be nice if I can charge it during my sleep!!

There are three kinds of docks

  1. Complete Dock for iPad : Also work with iPhone and iPad Mini
  2. Finedock : work with iPhone 5 and iPad Mini
  3. Finedock for iPad 4 : for iPad 4

Check it out!!

Looks hideous actually. Also, using the iPad on a dock is like using one of those windows touch PCs; totally bad userexperience so that would mean undocking it all the time.

Maybe i'm in the minority here, but I always figured an iPad dock as a "pretty" way to charge or sync the iPad. I would rarely if ever actually use it while docked. Docks are usually restricted to portrait mode, so that kind of limits how you can use it. Stands on the other hand, I use them all the time for iPads/tablets because they can prop the iPad in both portrait and landscape.
