Lost Doctor Who show written by Douglas Adams revived

A legendary Doctor Who episode written by the late cult author Douglas Adams is to get its first showing next year - 24 years after it was shelved.

The episode, called Shada, was described as "the greatest Doctor Who story never shown" and began filming in 1979 but production was halted by industrial action.

Following several false starts in attempting to bring it back, the drama will finally be premièred in a webcast on BBCi in the spring.

clips from the original filming of this episode were used in "the 5 doctors" episodes to stand in for tom bakers 4th doctor as he didn't appaer personally in those episodes. Its too bad the original was never completed (though I heard once they were thinking about releasing it anyway, it much have been almost completely done).

Here's a littel tidbit: in the BBC miniseries version of the hitchhikers guide to the galaxy, the cow that was bred to actually want to be eaten was played by peter davidson, the fifth doctor (who was married to the girl who played trillian)
