Installed windows with bootcamp a few years back. Suddenly started having issues windows so I attempted to remove it with bootcamp and ended up with a ghost partition. I tried various things to get space back but really just made everything worse. Got to the point where I was ready for a clean install so I erased the HD but I'm still missing space. Now I can only run the computer in recovery mode. I have a 3.1 TB fusion drive that's only showing 1.57TB as size.

If i click partition on the fusion drive it looks like this

but when I try to resize or remove the free space partition the whole thing shrinks

I have been trying to fix this for days. Sorry for the bad picture quality. Please help.

EDIT:

internet recovery mode
deleted logical volume group
erase HD and ssd
set up the fusion drive using this guide:https://www.lifewire.com/setting-up-fusion-drive-mac-2260165
